Whether it's true or not, whether it's new or not, he's deliberately bringing up stuff he doesn't seem to have the guts to say to the guy, who is, basically, next door. A lot of what Batty does or did is needle OH into doing or saying stuff, or deliberately misinterpreting what he said or even egging him on. I'm not saying the guy was a saint - I certainly had my issues with him - but overall he is either trying really hard or has changed, and I think it's unfair to keep painting him in the light he was seen here as. I'm just saying; sounds a little of a dick move to me when he could easily say this to the guy's face, but chooses not to.

Thanks SGR and Batlord for catching me up. Even during my lurker days I tended to mostly just read the music forums so I’m largely oblivious to a lot of the personal drama here.

I mean, couldn't OH just as easily come back here if he takes issue with how Batlord is characterizing him? He still lurks, it's not like he's banned or anything. Why is the onus on Batlord to go to a different forum? And surely you must remember the many exchanges between OH/Batlord when OH frequented here. It's not like you've gotta have the fortitude of Joan of Arc to talk **** to someone else behind a screen on a music forum.

Yeah that's true but I feel the onus is on him. OH isn't over there mouthing off about Batty, whereas here, well... (shrug). I don't really care; I just think it's a little unfair that those who didn't or don't know him, weren't around at the time, are getting a one-sided view when the guy is still technically here. I just think talking about someone behind their back is cowardly, no matter how good or bad the person is. Take Sansa (RIP) for instance. Damn I hated her, and she me. But if she was still alive and was on another forum I could frequent, and I knew that, I wouldn't be badmouthing her here. Just seems, I don't know, wrong.

But like you mentioned. OH is here. He's still on - was last on two days ago, and presumably still reads the threads. It's not like Batty is whispering mean things about him to the other girls on the school bus after OH has been dropped off. OH is still welcome and able to join into any of our threads at any time and offer his input.

And compared to the things Batty said to him while he was an active participant, what he said here seemed pretty level-headed and restrained to me. He even corrected my initial description of events to make it more accurate in a way that made OH look slightly better.

All good points, admittedly. Well, he's a big boy; he can take care of himself. I just wanted to voice a certain concern for a conversation that appeared too one-sided to me.

And now, I go back to whatever it is I do!
