Look at the 2015 breakdown and tell me you don't understand why more black people are getting stopped. I'm not saying there isn't any racial bias in police actions, there are bad police officers just like there are bad individuals in every field. First of all, I didn't say stop and frisk was okay. All I'm saying is the issue is a lot more complex than "minorities are being shot at a disproportional rate" because it isn't that simple when we actually look at the numbers. This issue is more about an abuse of power and poor training than it is racism. Making this an issue of race is only causing fear in African American communities and making them treat cops like they're the enemy, which leads to even more issues.
And can you blame them? If someone was coming around my place that I honestly believed was going to shoot me based solely on my race, I would be terrified as well.
