I agree with SGR and Synthgirl nominations for mods even though Synthgirl will be busy til summer will definitely come in handy. I nominate myself for mod with working from home I can consistently be more active to help with the spam bot situation.

That is true. You don't get to see what a mod does for the most part. It's only in situations when things get awry with the membership that you'll see a mod play traffic cop. Most of the time, the mod is dealing with spam or some other type of scam attempt.

I don't know what happened exactly in the jwb situation but what's done is done and I guess it's time to move on. I think Frownie realizes he's been spanked.

Honestly, a decent turnover on mod positions would probably be good. This place is run as a dugnad after all. Let people chip in, learn the ropes and add their good ideas to this.

Also, Advameg should announce a supermod / admin in their place. Not that it will happen, but I still think it should be requested.

By the way, I guess it's okay to share this correspondence from Yac and I in 2015. He's long gone since then and it might be mildly interesting to people here. I was bugging him about changes. / updates back then too (I'm relentless). This is one of his answers:

So we were ****ed up, but too stable or our numbers were too good to warrant any big changes back in 2015.
