You seem to think that the old way was better. Why did you change?

The internet was way worse back then, tbh. Before it went hard mainstream with **** like Myspace/Facebook and Ebay/Amazon, everything was super niche and skeevy as ****, and forums were mostly populated by trolls, scammers, and irrationally obsessed weirdos, without any post-memeist self awareness.

Those were the days when **** like Nigerian prince scams weren't the joke they are today, they were actually shockingly effective. And hackers had carte blanche to do whatever the **** they wanted, 'cause cops had no idea what the internet even was.

Talking to people online was awful. 90% of all interactions were just the word "penis" typed over and over, because repressed dorks couldn't get over how they could finally be rude to people without fear of being punched in the face. And even worse, people still thought "first!" was clever.

**** the og internet days.

The people make the place. You really have no control over it. Adapt or die. I've always been a moron though, just in different forms LOL.

I remember Urban constantly ****ting on everybody and the mod team being super cliquey, especially when it was riseagainstrocks, Big3, Crow, and right-track. Yeah it was friendly but only for those that fit into the cliques. I guess I remember a different mb but it's way more tame nowadays in comparison.

God, Urban was the worst. He was to MB what Jimmy Savile was to little children. Right-Track was always great though.

Nobody bitched about how the state of the forum was declining quite like how TheBig3 did. These days when people bitch about how the forum isn't as good as it used to be, it just feels like displaced anger.
