I drink protein shakes when I’m too whatever to cook or eat. I don’t know if it’s placebo but I think yogurt settles me down and it’s easy to consume. Good for my gut brain. I swear if you have to detox or whatever eat yogurt. It’s even easy to puke up.

That just sounds ****ty. Why not just eat cereal? At least that's food. And plenty of cereal that's nutritious and also feels like eating food.

Two bananas in a bowl. Cover them entirely with yogurt. That's not a bad meal, especially in the morning. Not too keen on yogurt if there's nothing solid added.

I don’t know. Maybe it’s case by case by individual.

@Mic

Yes bananas work for me too. They’re expensive though.

I mean I'm fat so that also helps. The idea of eating yoghurt as a meal is like using a checkered flag as brakes.

When you get really out of your head it’s hard to swallow and digest solid things.

Thanks man. Think it was just everything coming to a head at once. It can be a lonely place, let me tell you...

You need to look after your own health, and if Ensure does the trick that's excellent news. It's not like dietary supplements have a reputation for addiction or damaging side-effects - you know, like steroids, heroin or something (* checks VU back catalogue for songs about Ensure*).
Anyway, as I hope you know, there's always a place for you on MB to talk through your probs.
Take Care, Lisna.
Thanks Lisna. Odd thing is, the damn things are only available on prescription! My carer friend blagged some though. Two was all I needed. ****ing doctor could have given me a script. Oh well, now I know.

In my state I could not have faced yogurt. I tried rice pudding and could eat some of it but then started feeling queasy. I also don't like yogurt.

Cos cereal has milk, and that's what was turning my stomach, among other things. The Ensure, you just drink it like a shake and there's no real effort, at least that's what I found.
