Freebase and Pete stepped down. Urban and Satchmo were no longer active and were removed from the mod list. As result, the mod team was down four people. So four new mods were added. I stepped down almost half a year ago so I'm not part of the equation here.

I stepped down because I no longer wanted to mod. Pete and I, both. We stuck around in the position until new mods were in place as to ease the transition.

As for banning Soulflower, I don't remember doing such a thing. I did ban Apollonia and Piggy Princess, as I had found, upon suggestion, ample evidence that those were alts of Sansa, so I followed policy.
