Guess I'll go look for it so I can have some tangible evidence.

@trollheart

Yeah but that's specifically in this thread, which is supposed to be your impressions of other members as (identity concealed: yeah...) says, not your first impressions. I'm talking --- and assumed you were talking --- about newbies joining a "Best Bob Dylan song" thread or even "Nickelback vs Slipknot", or even starting their own. THAT's what I was urging noobs to do, not come in here and say I hate you all or I love you all, which is quite silly when you don't know anyone.

But the point stands: obviously there are some threads a noob should avoid, or be careful posting in. One that said for instance "I think Trollheart is a dickhead: do you agree?" a noob should not post in cos he/she doesn't know me and can't offer an opinion. Or one that says "Do you think MB has changed in three years?" Again, no position so don't post.

But there's nothing to stop them posting in other relevant threads to which they feel they can add value, or even starting their own (once it's not "OMG I love the Beatles" or whatever....) :rolleyes:

My point was, and is, nothing keeps you in the intro section. There is no rule that says you have to remain there until someone says hello, and if not then you piss off. If someone says hi that's fine, if not be a man or a woman (or both!) and come on out and play, don't just go home cos you feel nobody likes you!

Lordy! Talk about wrapping people in this...
:rolleyes: (again)

So you're justifying chasing off a new member who never said a single mean thing to anyone solely because they were a little overly enthusiastic and jumped in this thread earlier than some people here want? I mean, this forum is already top-heavy enough with like 70% of the posts being made by the top 5% of the members or something (I have absolutely no desire to actually calculate this), and I don't think any new members should ever be shown the door, especially when we're talking about a member that was rather friendly and just wanted to make friends.

YorkeDaddy: Intentionally misrepresents what people have actually said in order to have a prolonged argument for some reason. Also says poon far too often.

Look out, Balls of steel coming through.. >_>

Nigga plz, my balls are huge!!

i can take a picture of them if you like and send it to you. ^_^

But i gotta say i agree with you regarding your argument with Trollheart.

I think noobs or old members should be welcomed to post here even if is to give their 1st impression of ppl here.

it lets ppl know your 1st impression of them and whether is bad or good.
