Wow, this is the first time I'm seeing this thread and it's jumped to 23 pages in less than 24 hours. It seems like perhaps everyone's posting efforts are being spent in this thread rather than welcoming newbies.

Yeah, I recognized the posts on the first couple of pages. But I just can't be bothered to read through 20+ pages of what is probably mostly chatting.

20+ pages of Yokedaddy trying to prove a point... unfortunately it was lost on all of us.

Look, I understand it's hard to swallow that something you love so dearly has a flaw, but sometimes you just have to grit your teeth and accept it. It's for the betterment of the world.

Abacab is not flawed and I don't have to grit my teeth and accept it.

Abacab is pretty good, I prefer it to old Genesis. But a lot of 70's prog doesn't work for me so that's pretty much why.

What Genesis released in the 70s is some of the best music in Rock and Roll.

Yeah I know, I just don't like Genesis nearly as much as I like King Crimson or Jethro Tull. This is just how I feel about it though, I still recognize Genesis as a massively influential/successful band that made legendary stuff.

Now that I'm on the subject I'm gonna head over to some prog themed thread to talk about this, because I very rarely listen to new prog stuff because I have trouble getting into it.

Dude my dad has some Jethro Tull on vinyl. I was listening to it the other day. Pretty slick stuff!

WOW I cannot believe how off topic this post was.
