Music Protection

Just out of interest, who closed the post about music protection and why

Was the concept too mature for someone?

Or was it because I exercised my right to describe rap as crap?

Feedback posts like this one go in "Announcements, Suggestions, & Feedback" this Forum, just FYI. I've gone ahead and moved the thread there for you.

I guess if you go saying that rap and punk are now officially declared crap, and that they compare with the noise of dishwasher, I guess it is not very good start for a thread?

Well my dishwasher sounds better than punk or rap, but you might not think so. You might think that Barbara Streisand can't sing wither, you would be wrong, but entitled to your say.

And so you decide if a posting gets closed do you? I doubt it somehow. But no doubt some smart arse can explain the rules.

I assume the mod who closed it did so because it appeared to be an attempt at trolling, which is against our rules.

What right?

Oxy got to be a troll. Nobody can hate punk, Facebook, tattoos, and rap at the same time

Trollheart 12-28-2013 11:47 AM

Yes they can. But it's pure stupidity to put something like "rap is crap" in a thread and not expect a reaction. I don't particularly like rap (isn't it called hip-hop now though?) but I would never make this claim. Just because you don't like it does not entitle you to call it crap. I mean, I hate jazz --- hate it --- but would never label it as crap. Same with punk. People enjoy different things, and you can't just "exercise your right" to call something crap. You don't have that right, not in a forum like this. You can make a case for why you don't like it, assuming you've actually heard any, Oxy, but you can't just come straight out and say it's crap. Same as you, Taxman, can't diss punk even if you hate it, as I also do: it's popular and people like it so there must be something good in it, and again, how much of it have you listened to? As they say, don't knock it till you've tried it!

Also: mods have the power to veto/close/merge threads. That's why they're called mods.

I closed it, as I do with all 'this genre sucks' threads.

Your welcome.
