Harsh and murky signature rules.
I see musicbanter doesn't allow
a simple link that enables one to promote ones music in ones signature. Apparantly one has to wait three months to chance doing this at a moderators discretion. It seems pretty harsh. Very anti freedom of speech. One is allowed immediatly to promote someone else's obscure music but not ones own. Oh, and one is allowed to immediatly post a link to Last.fm but is allowed NO mention of ones own music in ones own signature. Give it three months they say in the official rules in a very grey area way. As I Said in another thread, Charles Dicken's London is very much alive today in the U.S,A. Vive la freedom Musicbanter! |
You don't like it there are plenty of other forums out there.
|
You're on a privately run forum where you agree to the rules when you sign up.
Don't agree with the rules, go somewhere else. There's your free speech right there. |
The fact that you immediately wish to promote your own music a moment after arrival here validates this rule. This isn't a place to promote your music. We want people here who will discuss, get involved in and share their love of music, not people who will say "listen to my music" before we even have the first clue who you are.
So the rule is there for a very specific reason: to stop people doing what you're trying to do. There are plenty of other avenues for you to disseminate your music through: never heard of YouTube? |
Sorry, but Music Banter isn't the United States. We're an international forum, with our own constitution. And "freedom to promote one's music" is not one of the amendments.

edit: i'm sorry for posting, i found out later on there is a thread about it, i would like to post it but im not allowed yet. thanks ;) |
