Ugh, Necromancer, this is the worst thread of the week (or year). IMO the ideal mod would not think s/he is above everyone or bully. That being said Burning Down, Loathsome Pete, and maybe Satchmo (not sure) should stay mods.

I think jackhammer is the all of the above Moderator. He is very knowledgeable concerning most music genres and a very likeable guy.

The Mod Team should at least send him a PM and ask him if he is interested.

Its too bad Plankton is unable to be a Mod, he knows a lot about different varieties of music genres/styles and is an equally talented musician as well. I personally think that we already have more than enough Mods to delete spammers and all that good stuff. We need Moderators that are willing to participate with the community and give good solid advise and opinions concerning the music itself.

This is just my opinion, nothing meant to be all that serious. I just think it would make MB a better orientated site if members were allowed to participate in the appointment of Moderators.

Anyone suggesting, humorously or otherwise, that as a Mod they'd mess with people should be out of the running. Your jobs to run a tight ship, not create a clique you can make inside jokes with on your own personal playground.

Screwing with someones avatar, giving bogus infractions, humorous temporary bans, and bullying should not be in the lexicon of a mod. If you want to be a jackass, run for town Jackass.
