I can completely understand how frustrating it must be to lose a post particularly if you put a lot of effort into it. I will let you know if I find out who did it as in this case it probably wasn't justified.

I would think that, but Hermione read my post and mentioned it to me on facebook! And then I went to read it over and it was gone! :[
Also, this wasn't my only post that has been deleted! I've had conversations with people and they've disappeared as well! Even if they were on topic. :[ |

I looked but can't see any recent posts that were deleted. If I can't see them that means another mod hard deleted them (a "soft delete" is when I can see the post that was deleted, it's just sort of minimized). This is really the only time I've been on MB at all today, and on my computer at that, so it wasn't me. It's damn hard to delete stuff on a phone so I wouldn't waste my time deleting something unnecessarily.

It is possible to see who's deleted what, even when it's been permanent deleted you just look at the thread log.
Here's the thread log from the 'Negative Effects of Porn' thread. As you can see no mod has deleted anything of yours and the most likely explanation is that the Admin did something with it because of the complaints they received from Google about that thread, which was mentioned on the forum last time people complained about missing posts. Well as the thread says I closed it and I have no recollection of doing so I can say your thread was closed because I probably double clicked on it, so you can throw all your conspiracy theories out of the window and blame my ****ty computer for freezing for a couple of seconds.

Well Ped said that it can be removed from the log.
Either way, I don't know if it was a glitch or whatever, but my post was deleted. I don't really care as much, I'd just appreciate it if mods could notify me in the future. Especially since it was on-topic, and part of a conversation WITH another mod. Someone did admit to having deleted my posts in the past with no intention of having told me. Sooooo yeah. |

It can't be removed from the log, permenently deleted posts are shown as 'removed posts'
and even if it's possible to tamper with the log it's not something a mod can do.
