I think the point about American Football (sorry, EX-American Football!) is that, as was already said, your guys have to don body armour to play it whereas rugby and GAA (Irish soccer/rugby/play whatever the hell you like just score) use no such protection. So send your American best over but leave the armour behind and see how they do, huh?
Incidentally, does this mean HM will be re-re-re-re-invading Ireland? Couldn't do a worse job running it than our lot, and the Proddys would all cream themselves! Excellent thread: already on my nominations list for next year! :thumb: |

The reason they don't use body armour in Rugby Union is because you don't really need it when you spend most of the game either lying in mud or hoofing the ball into the crowd.
Rugby League on the other hand, God knows how they manage without it. |
I used to think the very Pro-America Americans were arrogant. Now I just realize they're tired of ****ty arguments.
Obama isn't better because of drone attacks? The UK is better in sports by ratio? Our Mars rovers aren't 100% successful? You ****ing people ought to be ashamed of yourselves. We didn't start this fight - I'll remind you - but over here in the real world, we will finish it. Also, Hockey is probably the best major sport to watch. I love playoff hockey. Damn shame about this season. |

I hate when they wear stupid white floppy hats. Like it actually ruins my day when I'm on a bus and they are sitting there all floppy laughing in my face. |
