I think the former is a better idea if one is only curious about one specific question or topic one want to discuss it is there neatly tucked away in its own thread. The drawn back to having one mega-thread on Religion is that there many people who like to read through a thread before posting and if all religious and God topics were in one mega-thread than that person would have to read through 10,000 post before one posts her or his own thoughts.
He (probably jokingly) means combine them into one thread, and it's not going to happen if the original topics are not dissimilar enough.
But... I really don't know why people are taking this seriously. I may not know how Big3's mind works, but I'm pretty sure this thread is more of a statement than an actual request.

It is a music forum after all. A lot of us spend all our time in the lounge, which makes you wonder why we came in the first place.

This forum only needs two threads "music" and "off topic".

Exactly. For a forum full of people who doesn't believe in Jesus, I've never seen a group so ready to discuss him. There should be a thread called "tell me again today why you hate ignorant rednecks" becuase thats all we really ever discuss.

To paraphrase Right-Track: "You're an atheist, we get it, now **** off." I don't feel like I have a problem with anyone doing or saying anything, but I can't stand group-think and I smell too much of it here sometimes.

too long; didn't read: merge the threads.

Just to ask, how many of us as a percentage of the forum's users believe in God?
Because I don't think many do.

That doesn't mean that people aren't allowed to discuss their belief or non-belief in Jesus. I started a thread a few months ago asking if atheists believe that Jesus existed just as a person. There are many arguments in that thread FOR and AGAINST his physical existence, and many that actually question his divinity. He could have either been conjured up by early religious groups or have actually existed like any other historical figure, like Tutankhamen or Charlemagne. Religion and anything to do with it makes everybody jump at the opportunity to spew their opinion on it, atheist or not.

If you don't like the discussion that's happening, don't go to that part of the forum. It's really that simple.
