I have a policy against talking about people behind their backs, he should know that I don't like the way he has treated his stay here. I'd rather him know he's doing wrong and that I think he deserves a ban than him just wake up one day and be banned and clueless.

I'm sorry you don't approve, but I just feel like it's better to get this stuff out in the open and convey my feelings to others; rather than bottling up hate and holding grudges. Then we'd all just be a bunch of Il Duce's.

look, let's all be rational objective democratic folk

why don't somebody start a poll, inquiring as to whether Thee Virgin should be banned?

if the majority of people voting there exceeds 2/3rd (approximately), then we pressure the mods

then one of the mod will issue a stern warning to him to stop all the nonsense, otherwise he'd be banned

if he insists on his ways here, then ban his motherfucking ass

and just FYI, i'd vote "yes" cos objectively, he is spoiling the quality of this forum

before he came, i enjoyed everybody's company, and enjoyed having a healthy debate

now it's mostly people pissing on him or laughing AT him, not with him

And their bannings were not debated at all. Praised rather,for finally getting rid of them. Music Banter is a different place than it was two years ago. The members are much whinier. inb4 someone throws that back in my face and says "all of you are whining because The Virgin is not banned", to which I respond: Because the mods have not taken any action though a precedent has been set. That's not a 'factor that should be weighed with all the others'. that's a deciding point for the sake of the forum being consistent. I mean, coryallen2 was given multiple shorter bans before being permad if I recall correctly. So has the virgin, and yet his posts have not changed.

Who mods tend to ban should not be up to democratic vote. They were chosen as mods based on experience and shown intelligence. Even though their decisions may seem arbitrary at times (some mods more than others) you just have to deal with it.

For example, on the other forum I ban people (for short times) for being a pain in the ass to explain things to and being thick-headed about really obvious rules and decisions. Am I always right or consistent in my banning? Absolutely not, but usually I am right and it is in my power to be arbitrary.
