I was going to delete that post, too...but I'll leave it here for now.

You know exactly what your post was intended to do, and I'm getting sick of the crybaby bull**** that goes on in this thread. Dirty got banned for a good reason and because you guys seem to need things spelled out for you, you got a new rule. Stop ****ing complaining about it.

Foul language and provocation. Tisk tisk, quite unbecoming of a moderator, let alone being explicitly against the rules that you yourself enforce.

Pot: "Kettle, you're black."
Kettle: "Pot, we're both black. And you're an a$$hole."

In that case, please spell out why Dirty was banned. Obviously the whole vagueness thing isn't working. All it does is create he-said she-said bull****.

Why wasn't he banned? So far possible reasons have been:

The video he made about thevirgin - This isn't why he was banned.
Impersonating a mod in the chat - He definitely did this, it is now thanks to him being an ass, a bannable offense, but this isn't why he was banned either.
Mooning everyone on cam in the chat - Pretty much the same as above, since it meant the rules were then OFFICIALLY extended to the IRC chat, not just in an unspoken way.
"It was for insulting other members." - Conan and Vanilla have both said this and both said that what he said was nasty and deserved a ban.

Seems to me that the first reason was irrelevant, the next 2 reasons would have gotten him instantly banned had he not been the first person to make it so such obvious "Don't be a dick" style rules were even NEEDED, and the last reason seems like a simple-as-hell way of giving you guys answers without resorting to just reposting whatever unacceptable things he said.

After all, whats the point of posting "Dirty got banned for posting this: <verbatim quote of unacceptable behaviour>", when those posts were already deleted so that the forums didn't have to deal with people requoting that bull**** everywhere?

Keep flexing your faux-mod muscles, we'll pretend you actually had an impact on the mod decision-making. Wannabe with no life.

Or on the forum in general. It's very interesting that the only time GuitarBizarre comes out of the shadows of the 'Talk Instruments' section is to side with the mods about bannings of members he does not come into contact with.

All BS aside, the slightest bit of continuity while enforcing rules would do wonders for the member experience on here.

Really? He impersonated Vanilla on top of his usual trollishness. That's fairly clear, I think.

My only issue with this is I don't like the idea of retro actively applying a rule to something before it was made.
