Please welcome your new mod...

...dankrsta!

Mojo 12-03-2010 02:35 AM

In addition, many thanks to Seltzer and Jackhammer for all their hard work.

right-track 12-03-2010 03:26 AM

Congratulations dankrsta!

Unusual for someone to be modded so quickly after joining the forum, but in your case definitely not undeserved.

The Croatian is gonna have t watch his back! ;)

Again, well done.

Seltzer 12-03-2010 03:27 AM

Congrats dankrsta!

Jackhammer and I are both short-arses so I daresay you don't have particularly big boots to fill ;)

James 12-03-2010 03:30 AM

Congrats!

TheBig3 12-03-2010 05:00 AM

I mean this with all sincerity: who?

NSW 12-03-2010 05:11 AM

Two female mods, how about that. MB is so progressive...

Watch out mens.

Glad your on the team now dankrsta. Now I won't feel so weird and out of place at the annual Mod Beach Volleyball party.

MoonlitSunshine 12-03-2010 06:45 AM

There's a mod beach volleyball party? Damn, now that's an incentive.

Congrats Dankrsta! Now you can start infracting people who don't spell your name right!

It hurts when they don't invite you any more :(

Sansa Stark 12-03-2010 09:17 AM

wooooo!

The Fascinating Turnip 12-03-2010 10:24 AM

Congratulations, seems well deserved.

dankrsta 12-03-2010 11:32 AM

Thanks everyone! I love this forum and I'm glad that I can help "around the house".

Dayvan Cowboy 12-03-2010 01:42 PM

No way! Welcome Dankrsta!

I'm so happy that you've been modded :D

duga 12-03-2010 01:47 PM

Congtats, dankrsta! It is actually surprising we don't have more girl mods...I never really even thought about it.

Alfred 12-03-2010 02:51 PM

Congratulations!

In fact, I think every member should have a female mod assigned to them personally.

I nominate VEGAN...

...she can fetch me beer.

David, when are you running for re-election?

I dont think he needs to run. He kind of just wins.

I'm just happy bobbing along doing my own thing as time permits.
Running for re-election isn't on my agenda at the mo. Doubt it ever will be.
Unless someone threatens me with Chinese burns, it aint gonna happen.
This place is in safe hands with the current format and the mod team is A1.

right-track 12-03-2010 03:24 PM

BTW...one more new mod like dankrsta wouldn't do any harm.

MoonlitSunshine 12-03-2010 03:33 PM

haha. RT, you seem to have that ultimate position, which is best described as "having absolutely no responsibilities but all the influence that you care to use". I managed it, once, on another forum. Then I was made a mod :/

Zer0 12-03-2010 03:38 PM

Congratulations dankrsta! You'll do a brilliant job :D

jackhammer 12-03-2010 04:50 PM

Congrats and all that.

sidewinder 12-03-2010 04:51 PM

Congrats dankrsta! I will respect your authoritah!!

And congrats to you. Welcome to the ranks of former Mod. When you get over the fury of not being able to fix ridiculous ****, its sort of enjoyable.

s_k 12-03-2010 07:36 PM

Altough I don't mind, I just wonder: Why have we got all those mods?
I know this is a rather big forum, but when I look at how many people are actually on here everyday, it's not much more than on my own forum, where we have three mods.

Again: I don't mind, and I hope Dankrsta likes his job. Just wondering.

By the way, dankrsta, it's pretty hard for me to remember your name as lots of dutch (especially frisian) names end with 'Stra". Veenstra, Terpstra, Dijkstra.
So if, by accident, I'll call you 'dankstra', don't take it personal :)

TheBig3 12-03-2010 07:38 PM

It can get ridiculous around here. Before you came we had some regulars that couldn't keep it together, not to mention your rogue wave of spammers.

Also, its more than regulation, its often just maintenance. Blogs need to be approved, avatars need resizing. Stuff takes work.

s_k 12-03-2010 07:40 PM

True. My forum doesn't need much regulation and I do all the maintenance myself.
Not because it's not a lot of work, but because I'm a control freak ;).

Freebase Dali 12-03-2010 08:55 PM

And to add to what Brennan (Big 3) said, having a lot of mods takes the pressure off us [mods] as individuals seeing as most of us have lives outside this forum and it's nice to know that things can come up and the site doesn't suffer from the absences.
It just seems to be a better format knowing that regardless of what happens, there will be someone to have your back and help carry the load. In a strictly charity scenario like this, I don't think we'd survive the way we do if it were any other way.

Anyway, congrats on making the team Dankrsta. :)

Burning Down 12-03-2010 09:29 PM

Congrats!!!!

My bad, I always forget

s_k 12-04-2010 07:25 PM

You won't be the only one ;).

Sansa Stark 12-04-2010 09:16 PM

Soz Dankrsta, do you have a real name? Or is that your name??

They call him Plornt.

Scissorman 12-05-2010 04:24 AM

pa, čestitamo ;)

dankrsta 12-05-2010 04:49 AM

Thanks!

I see there's a quite a bit of a confusion about my user name.
@s_k -The sequence of letters krs, rst and str are very common in Serbian. We can basically put 'r' anywhere without breaking a tongue.

@Paloma - Dankrsta is like an anagram of my name. Not very inspired, but very easy to remember (well for me). My real name is Danijela, there you go. (should be read Daniela, without 'j')

Dang, you just lost points for revealing your name... henceforth you are no longer mystical.
