I wouldn't mind paying for it either. Its just I dont want to get it and then not be able to have a link on the site or have barely anyone contribute to programming.

Not really in that sense, personally...
While it would be nice if we had some of the better functionality of more up-to-date forum protocol and layout, I don't think the core of this forum actually suffers from not having the extras, considering what that core is.

On the other hand, I don't think it's at all wrong for the community to want to improve the environment here. And I think that because the management are so far placed from the day to day workings here, the element that does suffer is our ability to create a living, breathing environment here that's tailored to what we, as members of the community, consider relevant and important. While the original notion of this forum may remain intact without the implementation of new ideas, it's never going to grow without them.
But like others have basically said, growth isn't the priority for the current owners. We're just hamsters in a wheel that keeps this site valuable for sale simply by being statistics. But upgrades or not, you gotta be proud of the fact that this community is as strong as it is regardless of its limitations.
If we never get fancy addons and upgrades, we still got somethin'.

We should get funds for having such good looking female members.

We could raise funds to buy them out by running an international escort agency...

Best to keep the prices down. Most people people aren't too fussy and if they get a good un' they'll go back for more rather than pay premium.

Or, we could implement a sliding charge based on quality alone.

I feel like this could attract new members, for sure.

I've noticed that at any given time, there are hundreds of people browsing the forums, always far more than members actually logged in. A front page / banner redesign / maybe a color scheme change would draw people in like mad, I'm sure.
