Obviously the hot dog post has been removed so noone can see what it was but that kind of stuff is really disgusting and I think he deserves to be banned...

Whoa. Back the bus up on that one. Who's kicking up a fuss? The question was "what did he get banned for?"

FaSho and V&F do not represent the male population of these boards and there are plenty of examples of men in here saying he deserved it. Boo Boo being sexist is like saying Stalin was bad because of his environmental policies.

i still don't see the point.
If warning him doesn't help, how will a temporary ban help?
I guess it's just his nature then?

Arya Stark 12-15-2010 09:06 AM

I think she's saying she feels there's a much harsher attack on women when they get banned.

I'm not sure I agree with that, but I think that's what she meant.

Exactly. And if anyone is worried about being able to freely speak your mind around the forum, please don't be. If you do something that isn't appropriate, one of the mods will warn you. Even if you do it again, we will still just warn you. Just know around the 3rd or 4th warnings...a temp ban will be considered. Believe it or not, we have a LOT of patience. You guys just don't see the inner-workings, you only see the end result.

If Dirty comes back and falls into his old ways, we will warn him AGAIN. We will keep warning him until it is obvious he still hasn't learned, at which point a longer ban is in order. We don't take bannings lightly.

TheBig3 12-15-2010 09:18 AM

Well now it looks like everyones overreacting. My 2 cents is...

1. Theres always going to be someone who complains about someone elses banning. Thats life. I think because we can't see the offending thread, you've got more curious people because there is a TON of sexual threads around here. Since we can't see that thread, but we can see Fetish, Sex Experience, Slut debate threads - its only natural to go "wait a minute, we can cross a line?"

2. Men and women tend to get banned for different things around here. I don't know if thats a double standard or what, but you're never off the cuff banned. You always get a warning. And I find it hard to believe Dirty wasn't aware of what he was doing which leads me to...

3. Dirty can be obnoxious. I don't have a problem with him, but I rarely do with people. Its a ban, and its fine. We had one of our premier posters start his career with about 14 bans in one year. If he hasn't trumped Ethan's ban count, he's fine.

Dirty should have been banned because he's rude and a troll. But the sexual stuff makes no sense. Would you say Dirty is more sexual than Vanilla?

Arya Stark 12-15-2010 09:29 AM

I think the difference is most guys want it when Vanilla makes a sexual reference towards them. Or they act like they do.
Dirty does it no matter how many times the girl is like, "You're making me uncomfortable."
I wonder how that transfers over in real life. >.>

TheBig3 12-15-2010 09:33 AM

And also, Vanillas threads aren't like

"Who wants to have sex with James tonight? Post the deviant things you'd do to him here!"

There more general opinion questions.

James 12-15-2010 09:37 AM

Don't get me wrong, I love Vanilla, she's awesome. I just think that Dirty is a lot worse things than overtly sexual. I think the reason about the Vanilla thing is like Sugar said, she'd stop if someone was uncomfortable and Dirty would only do it more.

i still haven't figured out why people give two fucks about this guy or his banning. as far as i can tell, the only claim to fame he has is being boo boo-lite and that he makes sexually suggestive remarks towards members at weird times.

is his story really that interesting?
what am i missing?
