Right, being annoying is one thing. But making some of the female members the focus of sexual jokes is a completely different situation in its own. PavementSaw wasn't the only one, so I'm sure you guys can see now why it was a problem?
I'm not sure why anyone needed an explanation. We have plenty of people who "take the piss out of" things without being personally offensive to people.

You're a hypocrite. This is why.

I don't think we need more drama, so let's just all try to be relax. It's not hypocritical, I think FaSho just has different feelings about this particular banning. That's normal. Anyway, it's not a permanent ban. I think it would be hard to deny that Dirty didn't have some sort of action coming for a while. He was really testing our limits.

All in all, I guess now he (and everyone else) knows where we draw the line.

Posting sexually explicit material on a music forum like this is not only inappropriate, but completely unacceptable.
Especially when that person had been warned previously.
There are different ways to stir the pot and make this place a bit more fun, but that isn't one of them.
It's important that this place has a tolerance level that helps to maintain standards and if someone gets a temp ban because of it...so what?
At least members know where the boundaries are.
If he comes back and still insists on pushing the boundaries (which he probably will) then I hope his next ban is a permanent one.

Well, I can see why the mods wouldn't tolerate a guy like Dirty on a forum.
He indeed is excessively vulgar sometimes.
That's allright when you get to know him. I mean, he didn't seem like a bad guy to me at all. But for newbies and the people who don't like to be treated in an overly sexual way, I can understand it must have been difficult to the mods to see how he reacted to people who weren't ready for his way of putting things.
I run a forum myself and I do feel sort of responsible for the way my members behave, especially towards newbies.
Eitherway, I hope he'll be back soon. And he should calm down. His way of talking isnt appreciated by everyone.

I want to emphasize this point, but it may be in a different context than Duga intended.

While some members may manage to get in trouble all by themselves, I've been here long enough to notice that there are folks who tend to push others into reacting negatively, whether they realize it or not. New members that join this community don't know the dynamic here and often times they'll react when they feel cornered or challenged. To me, the result of such a scenario is not entirely the fault of the noob. While some may say "well if he can't deal and adapt, then he doesn't belong here", the fact of the matter is everyone should be given a chance to be a part of the community in a positive way. People are going to mess up, but our job as mods is to deal with that and give those people opportunities to correct themselves. I think I can speak on behalf of all the other mods in saying that while we don't expect everyone to like everyone here, we do ask that you give these people the opportunity to learn how this community flows and afford them the same chances to learn from mistakes that you'd afford yourself.
If certain members don't want to do that, then they are asked to simply leave the person alone.
