Help! Problem With You Tube Embedding
I haven't been able to get any YouTube embeds to show up on my posts for about two weeks now. After 3 years of working perfectly my YouTube embeds just show a blank white box when I posted them instead of the YouTube player with the video on it.
Jackhammer pm'd me this set of instructions: Quote:
=============================== <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/rCROrQsnaNU?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/rCROrQsnaNU?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> ================================ From Jackhammer's instructions I'm not exactly sure exactly what code should be deleted and which should remain. If someone is knowledgable on this abbreviated YouTube code, maybe they could show me the abbreviated code that should appear in the YouTube brackets below: That way I can test the code to see if it will work when I post it from my computer. I hope someone can help me with this issue because my music blog has come to a grinding halt for the past couple of weeks because of this embedding problem. Thanks, GA\/IN B |

You're over doing it.
On youtube site, click on share, then copy the code from the right of the '=' sign. Then wrap the YOUTUBE brackets by clicking the icon (in Go Advanced) here on MB and paste code between them. |

Youtube embedding isn't working on the forum properly at the moment, and until admin let us know what's happening it looks like it'll be that way for the foreseeable future.
As for the code between the youtube tags you want all the numbers and letters between the '=' and the '&' in the web address, not the embedded code.

The best way to do it now is to copy the characters in the Youtube URL after the "=". In the case of my video the characters are: CNSaurw6E_Q So enter in the tags like you normally would, but just use the characters after the equal sign instead. |

Ok, can somebody go over this again... I'm still lost.
No seriously though, what browser is that you're using?
