Is there a way to view threads that have been updated since you last posted to them? For example through your user CP you can get a list of threads you have posted to. Is there any way to filter them to only those that have changed since you posted? Kind of like thread subscription without the subscription? What is the significance of the various envelope icons in that list?

ie.

I believe the only way to see changes to threads you've posted in is by subscribing. You can set your profile to subscribe automatically when you make a post in a thread.

The envelope icons tell you which topics are popular and have or have not been read by you. Red envelopes indicate the topic is popular (it has 15 replies or reached 250 views), and the red one that looks open has posts that you haven't read yet. Blue envelopes are new (or not as popular) threads that you have read. The beige one that looks open is a new topic that you haven't read yet.

Ok thanks. I just use a function in Tapatalk where you can see a list of threads you have participated in regardless of whether you are subscribed. I wondered if there was an equivalent forum function built in because it comes in handy.

I use Tapatalk on my iPad, so I know what you're talking about. I don't think the actual website has that function.

Actually I suppose you can sort of get the same thing by doing an advanced search on your own user name, listing results by thread. Any updates show up in bold.

That could work, I guess. Never thought of it before.

Well, half worked. It seems the searchid expires so my book marked search doesn't work any more.

Just found this thread, wonder if anyone knows how to do this/if it can be done?

I constantly have to zip back and forth through my journal for various reasons, but though there are certain pages I can go to via the top bar or whatever (it might show first, then 7 then 24 then 41 etc) I can't jump to a specific page that's not shown. If, for instance, I know I want page 73, I have to get to something close (say 80) then jump backwards, often a page at a time.

I keep a record (spreadsheet) of what I post and where, ie what page, date, what the post is etc (yeah, I'm THAT geeky! It helps though, when you want to find out when last you posted a particular review, section, special or if you featured a certain song/album/artiste before) so I know WHERE to go, at all times. Getting there, despite what they say, is NOT half the fun!

If anyone knows how to jump to a specific page in one or less moves I'd love to hear from ya! With my journal currently exceeding 120 pages, it's getting more than a little tiresome....

Thanks
TH
