BBcode Trouble?

Hi dear administrator.
Since a few days, I have trouble when i try to insert youtube videos. Instead of the traditional video capture, i've a white square (but it's not systematic).
I don't know if my problem come from a new youtube copyright restriction (i'm french) or if my problem come from a forum update.
Have you an idea?
Thx

In your link it should read www.youtube.co.uk/v=fsdhgjabfdi3265748

made up link

you would add the code between the youtube things.

like this [youtube]fsdhgjabfdi3265748[/youtube]

everything after v=

Not a problem :)

That's weird... I always just get the embed code from the video (that large amount of code you copy when you click "embed", and paste that between the youtube tags.

Up to now, I was doing like you. But if i try to insert the following html code, i've a white square.

Code:

<object width="500" height="405"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/RWQR9MxZ9jk&amp;hl=fr_FR&amp;fs=1?color1=0x3a3a3a&amp;color2=0x999999&amp;border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/RWQR9MxZ9jk&amp;hl=fr_FR&amp;fs=1?color1=0x3a3a3a&amp;color2=0x999999&amp;border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="500" height="405"></embed></object>
Can somebody do the test with the code i posted?

Testing:

Yea it's not working. Maybe you copied something wrong. You might do better using the short method... just copying the text after the V= in the video link located in the URL bar up top while viewing the video.

You should try reading the Beginner User's guide Freebase.

Why?

FETCHER. 07-09-2010 07:04 AM

I'm a genius! Not. It took months of posting blank boxes for me to figure that out.

It's got everything you need to know about embedding vids to MB.

I didn't need to know anything. The way I do it works. I just thought it was cool that you can use part of the URL in the same way.
