Smoggie is a term for people from Middlesbrough. In this part of the country there are 3 rivers, the Tyne, Wear and Tees in close proximity to one another. Middlesbrough is on Teeside. The term Smoggie refers to the chemical plants in the area and the emissions from them, or smog.
