departure threads would be alright if they consisted of exactly what you all have said--hey folks, not gonna be around anymore--don't worry about me. but they're not, they're always some over-dramatic farewell like this one.

I think departure threads can be and usually are needless and basically just involve a user fishing for attention and in some overdramatic internet group hug.
However i didnt see anything like that here. I think regular members and frequent posters should be able to do it if they arent trying to do any of the above and are certain they are leaving. I dont think id make one of these but id like to think that after posting here for a few years that I could do that without getting slammed for it. |
