Moderator approving threads

So I tried to start a musical journal thingy. It had to get approved by a moderator, which is all fine and good. But since then, a different musical journal has been started. Will I be notified if the thread gets denied? Or will I just guess it because a ton of other people are starting their journals but mine never showed up?

We're generally going to ask you to have more time spent on the forums unless you make a special appeal.

We're experimenting with letting a few new guys start one and see how it goes. In the meantime, just post in the regular forums.

We need a failsafe to make sure you want spam your face off. Generally we try to maintain a place up there that will maintain a certain level of quality.
