Yes I can see that, but what I'm saying is that most of the mods are not fully aware of all the technical details of this forum software so we cannot be "straight up" with people about things if we ourselves are not aware of them as well.

I feel like I was being pretty straight up in the initial post you replied to. I said I think it's asinine but we're unfortunately stuck with it, which I would say is about as straight up an assessment of the situation as you could ask for. If I was somehow implying that it was a technical limitation why the hell would I call it "asinine"?
