I wish I knew, I don't clean out my inbox often enough, it's probably full of a billion emails at this point.

I just went to User CP and unsubscribed from every thread.

Takes a while, but it worked for me.

Yes that is how you can stop it. You have click on the deactivate emails in all your subscribed threads listed in your CP.

Yeah I should really do that, i use my hotmail account as my email rubbish bin because i never really use it. Just looking at it now, it contains over 2000 musicbanter emails

Go to your user control panel > edit options.. and all the information for messaging and notifications should be right there for you to figure out.. hopefully. Changing it to 'no email notification' should do the trick.
