People subject to moderation don't like that so of course a mod won't be popular with everyone and I think that just comes with the job.

As for added responsibilities, it can certainly become tedious (not saying it is here, but I have experiences from elsewhere), but then having a large moderators team helps .. when you're off for a few days, someone else is there to pick up the slack and you do the same for them when they're gone.

I think mods are probably the most respected members of the community. A great deal of ass licking takes place. :D

i know there's a songwritng forum already there but thats not the same, many people here may need to request a tab, and it would help people who cover song (about 85% of the musicans on this site)

Reasons why or why not we should do this?

Toretorden, do you have a response? :yeah:

Talk Instruments - Music Banter

I do though.

Stone Birds 05-21-2009 01:01 PM

That forum is for talking about the instruments not the tabs and stuff.
Toretorden, if you say i can post/request tabs somewhere i'll quote you on that (if i need to)

Yup, reason against : Guitar tabs may be copyrighted and posting them could be a copyright infringement.

Ok i'll just stick with this PassingAfternoon.com - An Iron & Wine Fansite
They have permission from Sam, He doesn't mind, in fact he thought it was cool that people wanted to play his music. unfortunately this is only contains his tabs and few other things.
Tabs & Lyrics are in the forum.

i posted this here to prove its not always a confusing legal matter.

cory, stone birds and mirrorbollocks.
This is an improvement thread ...not myface!

STFU!

Stone Birds 05-21-2009 01:57 PM

A good improvement you might actually be able to do, is getting rid of all the un-stickied locked threads, they're annoying
