Not sure if this is an innapropriate place to post this...
Would it be less obnoxious to bump up a REALLY OLD thread or to start a new one?
|
Bump, but I think in the lounge can't people just make new ones of the same topic from 2 years ago when they wern't here? No wonder the boards are so quiet it's hard for people to think of anything new that hasn't already 'been done'. But it's up to the mod's to decide.

No... generally it's a catch-22. You make a new thread and Right-Track promptly provides you with a link to the 2004 version. But you bump an old thread and people like me get pissed off because 90 percent of the time the bumping user is trying to answer a question that a no-longer-existing user asked back in the stone ages.
Really, is the topic that important? I guess it's a judgment call. Either way, it's going to be criticized. In a way, I guess it's a system that works. You're always forced to come up with something fresh. |

If it's a band thread , nobody is going to complain. If your going to bump a poll that's years old or answer a question to someone who's not logged on in years or bump loads of pointless lounge threads in a short space of time then yes people will complain. |
Thanks for actually asking though
