New to Music Banter - need some help adjusting!

Hi - I'm new to music banter. I need to get a feel for this place. I posted a thread earlier and I'm pretty sure it got deleted. It was a totally sincere post about a music site I made - but I think the moderators may have thought I was disguising advertising or something...

So suggestions - how do I "legally" talk about a music site I have? I know there is the 15 posts thing - but I just wanted to let people know about my site. Is the 15 posts my end all be all solution or how else can I post a thread without having it deleted?

The nature of the post was - here's my site, take a look, feedback, and requesting people's music for the site. Thanks
