Default am I only aloowed one response????

I posted in general forum, asking for help finding a CD from a relatively obscure artist. I got one response which said "use Google". Well duh, I had that figured out. Then my thread was closed.

So I put up a new thread asking why the first one had been closed. I got one response, then it was closed.

Why was my thread closed twice?? Who decides that one response is acceptable? Aren't forums supposed to be for multiple people to respond, possibly helping me out? All this happened in less than a day. Is this the way the forum normally operates? I'm a member of several other forums, and have never seen behavior like this. What gives?
