I have 12 years of classical training, so I suppose I could do classical, but if I do classical and cohort with proggyman with rap, I need to not do pop. Is that ok?

It's your choice.

Some other tool's gonna have to take over pop then, which should be interesting/very difficult.

I don't particularly like your attitude. Do pop and classical yourself if your going to be an ass about it.
