The sheer scale of the classical period is daunting at first, but you could simply start with Bach as the giant of the Baroque period, then move into the prime time interval with the giants of the field, Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky etc. and finish with Shostakovich/Stravinsky/Rachmaninoff. Then UberFilmBuff could add the modern composers whose music was predominantly used in films and that brings us right up to date. Just a thought, this introduction thread is a very good idea.:thumb:

Of course having Seltzer involved in this would add the gravitas necessary to get more people to actually check it out.

Hello UberFilmBuff, sounds like a good idea to me, I know the older composers very well, but the new guys other than John Williams etc., are a mystery to me, any help with them would be appreciated.:)
