Very good job. I'll get cracking. :)

ProggyMan 08-21-2008 08:12 PM

I'll have to skip the comps because of my Mac...

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 08-21-2008 08:29 PM

I've almost finished writing everything - compilations aside

Alfred 08-21-2008 08:40 PM

I've finished my thread, but I've sent it to sweet_nothing for suggestions. I'll probably check it over a few times and add stuff.

The comp is done, if anyone wants to have a look at what's on it.

By the way, CAPTAIN CAVEMAN, out of curiosity, are you doing post-hardcore?

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 08-21-2008 10:37 PM

yes, i addressed it in the information about the genre, but i didn't devote any albums to it.

i've written about hardcore/hardcore punk, emo, screamo, grindcore, and touched on metalcore.

lucifer_sam 08-22-2008 10:11 AM

Awesome. Good work everybody.

This will be my last logon for a little while - moving into a new apartment tomorrow and such. If you have anything that needs done - proofreading, etc, I'd be happy to help.

Thanks to all for your hard work.

Ooh, I did a hardcore punk thing as well, involving bands like Bad Brains, Black Flag and such.

I know that you're doing the hardcore and emo thread, but I thought you were mainly doing subgenres of hardcore punk, or its progressions.

What exactly did you touch upon with hardcore punk?

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 08-24-2008 06:07 PM

i will pm you everything i've done..

Alfred 08-29-2008 08:00 PM

Bump.

I was wondering if anyone wanted to look over what I have, in case they have any suggestions.

And about hardcore punk, I think I'm going to keep it in my thread, but I'll include "see the hardcore and emo introductory thread for information" in the description for hardcore punk, since CC has explained it.

FaSho 08-30-2008 06:46 AM

if anyone needs help with the punk or ska ones i'd be willing to throw my two cents in

jackhammer 08-30-2008 01:18 PM

Balls. I have'nt even begun the Metal one. I may have to pass I think...

RoemerMW 08-30-2008 11:52 PM

I shall be finished in a week or so. Just one question. Is it alright if we upload the albums that we list? I have a rapidshare account and digital copies of 90% of the albums I'm mentioning, so I could do it pretty easily.

No we don't endorse sharing unless it is personal compilations.

Double X 08-31-2008 10:58 AM

I know the deadlines already has passed, but I can make a small contribution to psychedelic sub-spot in the sub-genre 'Classic Rock, Prog, Psychedelic'.

ProggyMan 09-01-2008 05:43 PM

No, I said would help if need be, he can do all he wants. But like I said I will help.

sweet_nothing 09-03-2008 05:54 PM

Is this still going on, when will all this be up and ready?

lucifer_sam 09-03-2008 07:15 PM

Whenever people send me stuff to edit/whenever people feel like posting it themselves.

Basically, when people get their **** together. =P

Alfred 09-03-2008 07:49 PM

Well, I've got my shtick together... but I'd still like to know if someone else would like to read it over first, and make suggestions.

I think it's pretty good, though.

Alfred 09-04-2008 07:35 PM

Well, shall I post mine too, or does lucifer_sam wish to read it over and revise it?

sleepy jack 09-07-2008 06:59 PM

What genres need done?

Son of JayJamJah 09-07-2008 08:40 PM

PM me any info on classic rock or soul anyone wants to. I'll make adequate use of it.

sleepy jack 09-07-2008 08:44 PM
