You mean like...Anyone with a 1,000 posts will be put up on it and people vote who will be better?
Or just compile the regulars and have people vote?

I don't know whether it would be easier to select a few bands from respective decades and vote that way.

Let the members pick the nominees, anyone and everyone. (Although I suggest the member has 100 posts or so..., want someone who will follow up with the thread for the week.)

I say each band needs a sponger

Someone who can create a new thread and poll on behalf of the band. Someone must check the post like they do in the Editors Pick section, and make sure the band qualifies. Then once it gets posted add the poll and let the debate begin for one week. Once we got a good number of nominees we can have the first vote and induct the inaugural members.

Hmmm, this is an interesting idea. At the moment, we essentially have lists of albums which are representative of MB's taste (Ethan's MB lists). But we don't have a band list.

I may be in the minority but I didn't like the way the list voting went. Too much room for error. Several polls with three or four bands\artists I liked a lot and others with none I wanted to vote for.

This is a bit more of a thorough means of reaching the same ends I hope.

I'd rather have it with just regulars, like JJJ said people with 100 posts or more.

I like that format, especially as it's a rolling thing which can keep going for ages.
Yeah i think i'd rather have a new section for it, keep it nicely modded and it should work well...
