I'm less tickled with the people here as a whole, but still think it's a fine site, the copycat list threads become overwhelming however and I'll take at least part of the blame, I've got 3-4 to my name in the past 18 months.
I still think we need more info in the profiles section. It'd be nice to have a better idea of who you're talking to.

As assholish as this may sound, I have no desire to see MusicBanter evolve into that. We have an even mix of personality and knowledge. There is consistently strong content (from most members) and I don't want it to dissolve into a gigantic orgy like so many other music forums.
I tried Sputnik for about three minutes and realized how bad that place sucks. Nowhere in the entire fucking forum did people actually discuss music. It was just what that dude described: a bunch of pricks patting each other on the back and a few odd one-word album reviews. I love MusicBanter. I don't want it to change. ![]()

Led Zeppelin rocks.
On Topic: I'd like to have more control over my own journal, and perhaps find a way to further promote such activities within the forum.

lol yeah that would be nice but nigh impossible I would think... Then you have to cahnge everyone's permissions etc and I don't believe its possible for individual threads...
One ultimate 'favourites in list form' thread would be okay... Less discussion in them then probably though... |

Whats the possibility (in trying to achieve this) of making these folks "sub-mods" for their journal the same way Boo Boo was for the prog forum...or is that a level of security that allows them power universally?
