Then I talk to a guy who only listens to grindcore 24/7 and he will tell me it's supposed to be unpleasant. Just wait until that guy discovers K-pop.

Does every member need their own "Look at me, I'm special, recommend music to me" thread? Half of the OP's don't even reply, so it turns into a never-ending "post whatever music you like" thread. Don't the stickied genre recommendation threads cover this niche?

I did one for a few days a while back, then I got busy and really didn't have the time to go through all the rec's, and a lot of the one's I did listen to weren't anything I'd consider pursuing.

Well, I try to give people the benefit of the doubt
and genuinely try to recommend something that
could be down their musical alleyway. But, it's
soon easy to realize whether they're genuinely
interested by watching what they do after they've
been offered suggestions. Either they've had their
"look my way" moment fulfilled and lose interest
or they're actually running with the ball that was
given to them by others.
