I propose that all newbie thread (introduction threads) be limited to one format. This way when people make one they will say why they came, bands they like, and so on so forth.
Yeah instead of stupid threads like 'judgement awaited' and 'am I a n00b?'.

How is this coming along?^

Also, I think a nice idea would be to have a Name that tune sticky that tell a little about the feature and also states that the member is required to Google it first. Countless times have we read these then googled it with a million results. Also maybe just make that whole section just a sticky in general music instead of having an entire sub-forum of the exact same content.

Are you kiddin'? None of those fuckers read those rules anyway. They're one hitter getters. You're lucky if you get a thank you after being their google bot, much less them exhausting options for you.

What would be nice, ultimately, is to structure it so that when a new user joins, the only forum they're able to post a new thread in is the introduction thread. Then when they do that, they're only able to reply to the posts within that thread until a certain limit is reached.
After that, full access.

Talk about earning your way into a site... We'd get rid of 70 percent of the bullshit around here.

Not all newbie threads are replied to immediately, it could take several hours, no one is going to want to wait that long.

It was pretty cool when we only had like 30 members and anytime someone took the time to join and they posted an 'im new' thread it actually meant something and they usually stuck around for a bit. Nowadays I still see new people that have been members for years that I never knew existed.

It's not exactly a huge problem, just a minor annoyance, but is there any way admin could enable the edit post function in the Editor's Pick forum? I keep spotting all these leftover typos, picture and video links that need replacing and so on in my posts there, and it's kind of annoying not being able to do anything about it.

A very good point. I shall put this into the mod lounge.

I have it done, I just never got any word from any mods. The more I think about it, the less important it seems anyways.

I want to post a picture of my enormous penis, but no matter how I resize it it's just too big for MB. Any suggestions?
