Musicbanter Improvement Thread (lyrics, track, income, quote, song)

I posted way back on page 22 of this, asking the same thing, but its seriously a total pain in the hole to link to certain webpages when the wordfilter cuts off part of the URL despite it not being an offensive word.

Case in point:

I KNOW VB has the capability to only censor words when they appear in a specific format, which would get around this limitation, any chance we can get this implemented? I know it leaves things slightly more open to abuse, but lets be honest, its not a difficult job to get around the censor in the first place...

Unless of course, you're linking to a website, in which case the tricks to get the word to show up, also render the link non-working.

..it'd be true to say that lack of a swear filter would appear to do the site more harm than good.

Just an idea:

I think that to be able to post in the songwriting/lyrics/poetry section of the board, one must have acquired 50 posts first... because it seems lately that a lot of people who've been posting on there lately are

1) people with 1 or less posts, maybe 5 or 6
2) are very, very bad.

And it really pisses me off.

Yes, this is a serious quarell.

^ Not a bad idea that, especially considering the culprits spare no effort to contribute anywhere else when this is anything but a poetry board. It's annoying, but on the other hand not really that big a problem.
