I can't remember if I or anyone else has suggested this before (probably, so I really do apologise) but it would be cool to have a place to talk about your musical endeavors as a band and get advice from other people who are in other bands. Like on how to promote, how to produce an EP, band practices, band names, etc. Of course advertising your band could be banned, but just a place to talk about aforementioned stuff.

I think an improvement could be made with regards to members journals, to remove the moderators formality of approval before posting. It would speed up the process and eliminate a needless task for the mods.

I think that if a member has an established reputation this should be utilized. I do like the concept of regulating feedback in the MB Reader section however.

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.

Agreed. But if someone was posting **** in your journal that you weren't happy with, you could get a mod to remove it. Or something.

I know this topic was long dragged on, but...I'm a n00b. I've been here for about 3 months and I'm still kinda "afraid" to post, lol. I'm cautious of posting stuff about my favorite bands, and posting about stuff I find funny..cos I don't wanna be shot down as I've seen happen in my lurking. Cos I'm 15, and I'm sure most people could just twist me up into a little ball and throw me against the wall like THAT. ;P I'm just now starting to post more, so I'm getting the hang of it. I just felt uncomfortable for a while there.

I think anyone who can make it past 50 posts without getting chewed up is MB material.

Just as long as you use search and discuss stuff politely then there should be no reason for you to feel uncomfortable. Some of our best posters are young so age really doesn't matter.
Just remember if you think anyones being unfair the mods are here for a reason

I think if they can make it past 50 while getting chewed up is a feat. Some of these guys are ruthless.

This exempts obvious attention whores who intend to get chewed up as to make up for the lack of hugs at a young age.
