That is a really great idea! That's the one thing I've been missing out on discussing here 'cause I love going to live shows. Hence why I created a members journal about it.

The 'Talk Instruments' section is pretty much where a lot of the discussion about your own band is. Would it be neater and easier if we had a thread of general discussion/questions about your own amateur band, without promotion? Also if we could make a non-promotion discussion forum on ways to work with your band, good music to start off with, but not actually promoting your band because there is a big chance we get some gay spammers. I know it's walking a thin line back to the old promotion forums which was a failure, but it would make a lot of amateur musicianship discussion a lot easier to find than searching through 3 different sections for help.

The original plan was to have Talk Instruments & Stereo & Production Equipment forums merged to basically incorperate all that sort of thing in one forum.

But then Yac told us that merging forums together isn't possible without a load of complications so the idea was dropped.

I'd also like to see more than someone's last 1000 posts if possible.

Don't hold your breath. It's only just been raised to that

About 2 years after I first asked.

Please, PLEASE, limit the size of avatars and signatures, because the different enormous or tiny avatars deform the website.

I hate all restriction, but this would be an aesthetically pleasing implementation.

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.
