A suggestion I have relative to the topic is to make the MB reader read-only for anyone who the mods do recognize as a "regular" or "established" poster.

It would improve the content of my favorite section in music banter, and honestly you don't need to post right away to enjoy that section.

What'd you guys think?

Maybe we can increase the minimal interval between posts, if you put the minimum to be 2 minutes it would take them 30 minutes to get 15 posts...now that's a chore...that could backfire of course.

I dunno, but this 15 posts rule isn't really working...and I'd rather not have their spam cluttering up perfectly good threads...:|
Can't the Mods just delete the unneeded one sentence post from new users?

Also I like the two minute thing if we could apply it certain sections. I see no need for it in the lounge for example.

The main discouragement that rule causes is that bots CANNOT sign up and actually post, because it returns them an error when they try and post a link, which ****s the bot up because its a unique situation it can't handle.

If it means dealing with the vastly lower number of 'people with more time than sense trying to spam' then I'm all for it.

Also, the 15 post for a link spammers are easy to spot after only 3 to 4 posts.
If they were allowed to post an instant link they'd be harder to find if a mod was absent at the time.
