Funk
Upon viewing some random thread, that was closed in general music i decided to daringly put forward the suggestion of a funk forum, I'm not here often enough to argue back against any abuse i might get for this suggestion, but meh....i'd be all for it.
anyway that is all. Funk forum ftw! p.s Or if fitting you could just add it in to jazz and blues, i just think it deserves some recognition as a genre. |

A request for a soul/funk forum has been debated in the mod cave for a while now & will be submitted to the admin in the next few days , so fingers crossed.

I still have right-track's history of northern soul thing he wrote so if anybody wants to add to that they're more than welcome.

You could even post it here before the forum exists (in this thread) to get the ball rolling. If the admin sees a demand it may be a more positive approach than the mod team just telling him theres a demand.

I vaguely recall writing it for something you wanted as a bit part of another project. It's in a nutshell, so it'll need expanding in a Soul/Funk forum as part of a bigger more concise educational thread. If we get the forum, I nominate Gentleman Johnny to contribute. |

Ha, well im not your father or anything but if you fear criticism it going to be a long life of waiting. Try your hand at it. The interwebs is probably the easiest place to take criticism. Even if wrong someone will argue with your detractors on principle.
