You fail at understanding logic. Don't try and twist it around, it will get you nowhere. Don't get me wrong, I download music, but when I am able to buy an album, I do so. Most of these artists have to live off of their album sales, so yeah.

I think you fail at understanding logic and that is why you didn't even answer my question.

Also artists make more money off of merchandise and concerts then they do off of studio albums. It is the record label that makes the money off of the albums.

^Being fully aware of that, they still do make money off of the record, it's their profession, it's their job, support them if you love their tunes so much.

I will support their music by listening to it and then when I make my own band, taking influences from it and building on it while still giving them credit. If I don't use them in my sound then oh well. What should be remembered is that music is an art not a business.

And I do support bands when I like their cause enough. I paid for Radiohead's album because they finally got it right.

I may be mistaken, but aren't there other ways to gain money in this world?

There are, but that is the profession that they chose and you should honor it.

I am not honoring that fact that I have to pay to listen to something. I mean if I wanted to sell the album myself or alter it, then I would buy it, but I am not paying to listen to an album. I will pay for the merchandise instead because that is something I should actually pay for.

Whatever, it's clear that your stubbornness is causing this argument to get nowhere. It's their music, they worked hard to make it, and if you liked it you purchase it because they have to live as well. I'll leave it at that, but I'm not continuing this because you're just too full of your self for me to deal with.
