Hmmm... Crowquill.

On a technical level, I don't doubt his modship. He does a great job of cleaning up rubbish, he contributes a lot to the forum. He runs competitions, makes band write-ups and generally tries to keep the forum alive. That's more than a lot of mods do.

But on a music/general level, he isn't good. He is fairly biased in music and pretty poor at arguing... a bit close-minded. I'm not going to forget when he tried to claim that I hated Metallica like a typical metalhead simply because I said I disliked Hammett even though I said I loved Hetfield. He simply wouldn't take my word for it that I liked Metallica. And I remember the whole 'every prog band sounds like they're trying to be too technical' claim followed by a pitiful list of prog bands that he'd actually heard.

I don't care about the Avril Lavigne fetish though. :p

As for Musicbanter... as of late, it's not a great music forum. Sure there's the odd jewel here, and one can boast about its size until the cows come home, but it is a pretty unbalanced forum full of biased people. There are the same arguments constantly going around and around - and that's only in the rock/metal section. Imagine if the rock/metal section was combined with rap/hip-hop... it would be worse still.

Seriously he won't even consider prog albums for the top 100 list...But he's still does the job of a mod the best.
