I like the idea of that. ^

I've not had experience posting on a forum with a rep system.
So like I said, giving it a go won't do any harm.
Just don't be surprised if it turns to shit.

Yeah, I think we have alot of members who would rep fairly but I think we have alot of people with grudges that wouldn't rep certain members if they're deserved it for a post and members who would rep posts that didn't deserve it because of the poster.

Seriously, I think you would have pointless reps left and right if that went down, all i'm saying is if someone makes a great post the member goes to the moderate and they rep it would cut down on the pointless repping.
Wouldn't that be too much hassle for the mods?

Also I have modded a vbulliton forum and you can view members rep comments through the mod cp and if someone is using rep wrong or playing "rep tennis" they can be warned or banned.

Would the regular members know who gave them positive or negative rep?

Well there are settings where it wouldn't show who gave them rep which would be really good so you could neg rep people without them hating you.

I'd like to see more people making some decent posts before something is bought in for me to rate them with.

The rep system as VB has it only only allowe dmembers to give no more than 5 reps a day and you couldn't give to another person unless you had it spread out, atleast that's how it was on the vb forum I sued to go to. Also, in their usercp, they could see the reason that a member gave for the rep + or - so if a member was flaming another member, the member being flamed could report it to a mod and what not, though I don't see that happening on here, everyone has seemed pretty cool with eachother lately.
