Basically, There's a little card logo next to where it shows if you're online or not. We mod's click that, decide how many points we think the warning/infraction deserves. The number of points you have at any given time determines how lenient we are when it comes to punishing you for inappropriate behavior.

It can get quite brutal, really.

Thats what happen at my forum. We had a karma system...for good posts that made ya laugh or whatever..and it ended up being a popularity contest and friends gave friends K's and it ended up not being a good idea..but on another forum..you get points for posting, made threads and when someone posts in that thread..and those points can be used to buy colored usernames, titles, etc...

There actually is a "reputation system" here. Only the mods can see it, and anyone with a post count over 50 has a reputation of 10. It's not even used.....
