^ I thought about that, but their opinions on indie are a little too strong. I agree with you, indie is sort of defined by its lack of definition if you will, a variety of interpretations of what it was, what it is, and what it should be. Both have great taste in music, but I never approached urban about it, because he seems like the type that wouldn't bother with this (some of the really obvious people to do these things never returned my PMs, so :( )

So I have done the Rock Thread, and I'm about to make a start on Grunge. I figured it's not worth doing a thread solely for Grunge, but maybe if I did a "movements" thread which includes some other important moves in Rock history I could make it a seperate thread.
The one thing is I don't want to make a claustrophobic first page with around 6 or 7 sticky's, it's too many. So should it just become another segment of the Rock thread, thats probably a better idea right? |
Britpop for the pop forum ?
I don`t want to go to all the effort if it`s not wanted |
^ LOL, it's not like you need permission from anyone! But as you can probably tell from some of the others, there's only probably a handful of real music fans here that'll be your main audience.

^ I think that's a good idea Urban! What about the 90's pop band phenominas? (sp?) The ones that inspired the pop bands of today, e.g. Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, Westlife. Or would that be included in Britpop? I could help Urban write it.
I'm really into 60's pop, and then there's 70's and 80's, so maybe there could be a different pop thread talking about the generations of pop, aside from Brit pop. Lol...whatever, just give me some feedback, and a cookie. Hehe, maybe this should actually get stickied? |
if you create it....ill sticky it.
