Styles of Beyond is a group that is on this album a lot. This album is by Linkin Park’s rapper in their group. Since Linkin Park doesn’t make music anymore I have been listening to Mike Shinoda’s solo music. This album was released way back when I was in high school. Mike Shinoda picks great drum kits and sounds when he makes music. Fort Minor’s single off this album called “Where’d you go” Ft. Holly Brook was really popular when released and still is nice to this day. To think how far ahead they were to want to work with her before she even changed her name to Skyler Grey. That “Where’d you go” song is sad too; piano and production just can be pretty emotional.

Warner Records was part of this album, but it was also released off Mike Shinoda’s Machine Shop label also, I think. “High Road” Ft. John Legend is a really positive type of song I think, can lead to feeling good. It’s him rapping, and the hook by John legend is really catchy and great. So doing further deep research, I found that Fort Minor mixtape with DJ Green Lantern. It’s on YouTube but not Spotify but I’ll give it a listen while I type this. Wow this “Hey Joe” remix is giving me goosebumps, DJ Green Lantern was my childhood favorite DJ, probably because of the D12 and Eminem association. Linkin Park had themes of spray painting and graffiti and that is probably why I did that as a kid.

Jay-Z was an executive producer of this album, he also did a whole EP with Linkin Park. The cover for “The Rising Tied” is really cool and it’s the type of art Mike Shinoda does so I bet he did it. According to Wiki, this Album has 3 bonus tracks too. They aren’t on Spotify but would be nice to have on there. Why are artists not putting everything to Spotify?

This album was released when myself and my younger brother Mike hung out all summer in 2005, I worked at Oasis that summer too. We both hung out a lot with Michael Martinson also, who has passed away now. We weren’t jamming to this Fort Minor album yet because it hadn’t been released yet. It was released in November of 2005 and by then I was back to normal life in Connecticut at Hale Ray like the summer of 2005 never happened. This was at the peak purelyhiphop.com time, I probably had this link for download on my website back there, sorry. He was born in Los Angeles, California; somewhere I have never been. He formed Zero, which became Linkin Park; which released “Hybrid Theory” a rock album that I consider in my Top 5 albums of all time. Just was the band I started listening to with and for a few years in high school I never really branch out. In 2004, Fort Minor was formed as a side project and this is how he explained the origin of the project names, “'Fort' represents the more aggressive side of the music. 'Minor' can mean a few things: if you're talking about music theory, the minor key is darker. I wanted to name the album rather than having my name on the cover, because I want people to focus on the music, not me.”, according to the wiki page. The instrumental albums he did are all great and very awesome. There are a few bonus songs also that aren't on Spotify, and it’s a good one.
